What to expect

You’ll find people of all ages at All Souls committed to learning from the Bible, as we seek to love and serve Jesus Christ and love one another. We enjoy meeting new people and try to make things as clear and easy as possible for everybody to follow – whether you’re new or have been coming along for years.

We hope anyone unfamiliar with Christianity will feel welcome and find their questions being answered at our Sunday meetings.

We believe that when the Bible is opened, God is speaking. So, our meetings focus on hearing the Bible read and explained. We also encourage one another as we pray, and sing a mix of modern songs and more traditional hymns. Plus, there is always an opportunity to stay for coffee and meet one another informally after our meetings.

During Spring and Summer of 2021 our services are as follows.

All Age worship

There is no longer any need to book to attend church – however you will be offered socially distanced seating if you would prefer it.

Currently the children remain in for the whole of the morning service. We always include a brief children’s talk and a shortened sermon as all ages are present. During more normal times an unsupervised crèche room is available with toys and a sound relay and Sunday Gang and Mini Gang take place in our church halls for children aged 0-14. We are currently blessed to have over 60 children on our registers.

We are aiming to open these groups as soon as is permissible given the current guidance.

This is an informal service where as well as praising God in song we would normally listen to God’s word opened and preached for 20-25 minutes.
